The Bulletin explains steps in the NMSC competitions and describes groups of students honored and awards offered; it also provides sample PSAT/NMQT questions with hints and tips for answering them and a practice test for self-scoring. Each year's PSAT/NMQT is the qualifying test designated for entry to particular year's competitions. Junior students who take the PSAT in October receive their test results in December. Those students who have scores which qualify them to be National Merit Scholarship Finalists are notified in September their senior year.
